Are You Throwing Spaghetti at the Wall?

Are you throwing spaghetti against the wall, when it comes to planning for an increase in giving? When it comes to stewardship planning the approach most churches take is to try anything and everything without any idea of whether or not their strategies are effective. That kind of strategy is like throwing spaghetti against the wall to see if it sticks or not. Sadly, many stewardship firms strategy is little different. There is a better way. It comes through knowing your giving data. In this post, I want to share with you the five reasons data is now more crucial than ever!

I have used financial analysis in coaching churches for over twenty years. I was blessed to be a part of the start of using giving data to assess a church’s strengths and weaknesses when planning out giving strategies. This knowledge gave us insight into the best course of action for a church. Data gives you a clear understanding of where you are and where you need to go. By using a church’s data we are able to devise specific strategies rather than simply throwing spaghetti against the wall to see what sticks.

As we move through this unprecedented time of upheaval due to the pandemic now more than ever you need an accurate assessment of your giving. We are proud to announce we are partnering with MortarStone to provide our clients with FREE giving data. To start go to this link:

Five Reasons Data is Now More Crucial – Here are five reasons why you need to start tracking your giving data.

First, we are charting a new course and data is going to tell us quicker what our reaction and response should be. While we have never been in a situation like this pandemic we have faced crisis in the past. How your donors responded in the past to crisis is a window into how they might respond in the future. Data gives you those insights.

Second, we must attract new donors. Even before the pandemic hit we were already seeing declines in giving due to our aging donor base. We must attract new donors to offset those that we are losing. Guess what? Data helps.

Third, donor retention is going to be a huge concern from now on.  Our data shows that those churches that did best financially did so due to their top tier donors giving more. It is imperative to keep those donors engaged. Data helps.

Fourth we need immediate information so we can act immediately. The pace of change is happening so fast that you must have data immediately at your finger tips.

Fifth, we need accurate information to we can respond effectively. Knowing your trends allows you to better plan for the future.

Now any church no matter what size can get FREE data to help them increase giving and attendance. Stop throwing spaghetti against the wall! Start by clicking this link, httpss://mortarstone.com/mortarstone-analytics-acts17/
